Angelo Leo - sax, Anthony Kubelka - piano, Jennie Seaborn - drums, Ramel Ray Bautista - guitar and vocals, Ryan Truong - bass

Ron Sweetman believed in encouraging and supporting up and coming young musicians.  This concert features 5 talented  musicians studying jazz at Carleton University, who are already quite active performing around the Ottawa area. Their concert will feature a mix of original music and original arrangements of well known contemporary music.

Ramel Bautista (Guitar/ Vocals):

Ramel Bautista is a multi-instrumentalist musician with his foot in a wide array of genres. From relaxing Bossa Nova and mellow R&B to eclectic blues and folk, Ramel tries to hit all aspects of music while keeping his signature percussive fingerstyle approach to his music. Whether it’s co-writing with singer-songwriters around Ottawa, teaching guitar at the Manotick School of Music or playing background music at Tamis Cafe, Ramel seeks emotion as the heart of his music and wants his listeners to feel that same tug; that same pull to such a wonderful art form.
